Stay Brave in Your Pursuit of Joy: Peace, Grief + Aliveness with Alicia "ACE" Easter

Joy isn't the reward for a life well lived. It's what you have to be brave enough to pursue in the middle of all of it.

In this episode, I sit down with Alicia "ACE" Easter — wellness practitioner, yoga teacher, and founder of ACE Yoga LA — for one of the most genuinely human conversations I've had on this show.

ACE lost her father at 17 and her mother at 19. She was a freshman in college, lying next to her mom's body, thinking: it's just me now. What followed wasn't a breakdown — it was a decade of breadcrumbs. A free yoga class sign in Chicago. A gym in every new city. A mat that helped her grieve what she hadn't let herself grieve. And eventually — a calling so clear she couldn't ignore it.

Nearly 20 years later, she's teaching yoga to kids in preschools across LA, leading Peace in the Pause, and closing every class with the same words she dropped into her mind one day: stay brave in your pursuit of joy.

I was lucky enough to be in the room when she said it at our Summit. I promise this episode will make you feel that energy too.
